Bishop's 25th Anniversary 9b
25 years ago we started in the small town Northeim in the middle of Germany. The first release with a mayor company was in 1982 on the label Fontana/Phonogram . In 1985 the band Silent Circle hit the German single charts with ‘Touch In The Night’ - cowritten, arranged and recorded by Axel Breitung, 2 further singles and an album got chart notations too. Also in the eighties: chart-success with the record company Zyx and the Italo-Boot-Mixes 7 and 9. In the beginning of the nineties Bishop got a good start with productions for the artist DJ BoBo. ‘Somebody Dance With Me’ was his first hit and now after more than 10 years and 21 chart-singles and 10 chart-albums DJ BoBo and Bishop Audio are still a team. 1996 we decided to move to Hamburg in order to produce for the mayor companies. And it did work - Axel Breitung got the Echo Award 2002 in the category ‘Best National Producer’. On the 23rd of August we’ve celebrated our 25th anniversary together with friends on a ship in the harbour of Hamburg.

'Somebody Dance With Me' was his first hit - in total he has had 20 single hits and all of these were in the German (and other) sales charts. Bishop Audio and Axel Breitung are a part of this huge success - most of the songs Axel and Rene composed together and all the tracks were coproduced by Rene and Bishop Audio. In time to his 10 years anniversary DJ BoBo released with his new record company BMG Berlin the remix album 'Celebration' with 3 new tracks and duets with 'No Angels' (Where Is Your Love), Melanie Thornton (Love Of My Life), ATC (Together) and Emilia (Everybody).
